Tekscan I-Scan® – Tactile Pressure Distribution Analysis System
In product development and quality control, knowing only the overall force may not be enough, especially in applications where it is important to understand where the force is applied, how it is distributed, and how it changes during testing.
The system consists of a Film Sensor, Electronics Interface, and Windows®-based Software. The Film Sensor measures the force applied across the contact surface andtransfers the data through the electronics interface to a computer for visualization and analysis.
Measurement results can be displayed in real-time in both 2D and 3D formats, allowing users to easily visualize the location and distribution pattern of forces across the contact surface rather than relying only on numerical values.
- Real-time pressure distribution display
- Record and review measurement data
- Multi-frame data playback
- Display Center of Force and Trajectory
- Thin and flexible Film Sensor
- 2D / 3D Pressure Mapping
- Save measurement data as Movie / AVI files
- Analyze Force & Contact Area
- Export data in ASCII format
Tekscan offers more than 200 standard sensor shapes and sizes, as well as Custom Sensor options that can be designed to meet specific application requirements.
Tekscan I-Scan® is suitable for applications that require users to measure and visualize force or pressure distribution a cross contact surfaces, including applications where dynamic changes in force need to be monitored.
The system can be applied to applications requiring comparison or evaluation of contact characteristics between components. Users can select from a wide range of standard Film Sensor shapes and sizes or use a Custom Sensor designed to suit specific application requirements.
The Hodaka ES (Thailand) Co., Ltd. team is ready to provide consultation and recommend the appropriate Tekscan I-Scan® system for your application. Demo units are also available for hands-on testing.
